About the project
Set on a prominent corner site in the Adelaide Hills, this family home is shaped by slope, outlook, and landscape. The natural fall of the land is embraced, allowing the architecture to step and shift, creating moments of elevation, shelter, and drama. A pavilion-style arrangement stretches across the expansive site, opening views in every direction to the surrounding garden. Level changes articulate the journey through the home, while bold façades respond to the site’s prominence. A series of gabled forms line the street edge, reinterpreting the local farmhouse vernacular through a contemporary lens. This is a home deeply connected to place — one that balances presence with warmth, and structure with the softness of its setting.
